When we first saw this system, we were simply bowled over with admiration, not just because of the way it looks, but because this is simply the best Video and Audio File and Display system we have ever seen. Here at Konnectiv we have been building media servers using the high end technology our IT divisions supply, but whilst our hardware works magnificently, nothing we have been able to come up with comes close to the content and file manipulation plus the online maintenance & support Kaleidescape can offer.
The core of the system is an expandable hard drive storage device that has DVD's or CD's ripped into it from the disk player. This information can then be accessed around the home from a small client device connected to any screen or amplifier.. It couldn't be simpler?
Actually it's from this point it gets clever, Kaleidescape communicates with your system from their central servers, so that any films or CDs you feed into the system are automatically catalogued, bookmarked and added to the menu of your system along with synopsis and cover artwork. Kaleidescape also monitor your system for health and spare disk space, ensuring that you never risk loosing film content or running out of space for new content.
Konnectiv install this system along with a simple Crestron control unit, which ensures that Kaleidescape is managed in the best possible way, we also install screens, speakers and amplifiers to customers requirements
